Right to Food Movement

Udayani got involved in the RTF movement since 2009 with the National “Call for Tala Kholo Abhijan Movement” (Open the gates of warehouses and give us food). With the help of Self-Help Group (SHG) women took out protest rally against the violation of Supreme Court Order in releasing food to the hungry at Block and District Level. Translated the Supreme Court order into Bengali and distributed to the people in book, posters and handbill.

Invest in Women

We believe that each individual can contribute and support in building a better and secure society. We deeply value and appreciate your time and initiative. There are several initiatives, training, campaigns, events and projects of Udayani, within our health, education, livelihood and response programmes, and your voluntary support is highly welcome.

Visitors/Internship

Udayani Social Action Forum encourages students, researchers and volunteers to do electives and internships throughout the year in a mutually agreed upon terms and conditions. Students and researchers from reputed academic institutions across the globe can approach USAF for their engagement as intern or volunteer for a specific period of time.

Fundraising

Udayani organizes number of campaigns to promote the empowerment of women and girls in the society, and to enhance the visibility of our work. Women and children living in poor communities of rural Bengal are most adversely affected mostly because of their social roles, vulnerability, discrimination and poverty.
